What does flow mean to you?

Honestly, I tried a lot in the last years to study flow. I realized that the more I tried to be in a flow state the more I failed.
Flow can’t be forced.
I remembered how I felt, as a former triathlete, when I came into that state of just running and you feel like flying.
I remembered when I used to cut videos how I felt: I lost time and space completely. I didn’t loose any energy and felt so much aligned and tuned into the thing I did.
Then trauma and anxiety showed up. And that feeling of “I have to control the outcome, because I don’t want to feel bad” - so I tried to bypass any kind of feeling bad, because it was not a state of real flow.
Yeah, I am still pretty harsh on myself.
Let’s have a deep breath.
So, flow can’t be forced or controlled and needs a feeling of safety. So, the nervous system plays a huge role in that scenario.
Let’s take another deep breath and let’s tune into your body.
Look around - what do you see?
Is there a chance you can look outside for the sky or a tree?
Have another deep breath.
Let’s come closer to yourself and check into your body.
How does it feel right now?
Let’s have another deep breath (yes, I know I’m repeating myself right now ;-))
Feel your feel.
What is it what you exactly wanna do - right now?
Wait. Pause.
Let your system show you.
Where does your eyes want to look at?
Where does your body want to move to?
Tune in. Breathe.
And then go with your very own flow.
Stay tuned in. Relax.
